AWS Service Catalog is now available to customers in the AWS Region in Osaka, Japan. AWS Service Catalog allows organizations to create, govern, and manage catalogs of IT services that are approved for use on AWS.
Instead of IT admins having to provision all of the cloud resources for their end users, AWS Service Catalog enables those users to manage and deploy IT services themselves. Enterprises can centrally curate and share commonly deployed IT services with teams to achieve consistent governance and meet compliance requirements. End users such as DevOps engineers and data scientists can quickly discover and self-service deploy the approved IT services that they need to use to perform their daily job functions.
With AWS Service Catalog you can control which IT services and versions are available, what is configured in each of the available services, and who gets permission access by individual, group, department or cost center. AWS Service Catalog is used by enterprises, system integrators, and managed service providers to organize, govern, and provision cloud resources on AWS.
