Amazon Kendra is an intelligent search service powered by machine learning, enabling organizations to provide relevant information to customers and employees, when they need it.
When a user searches for content, organizations want to only show content that the user has access to. In order to enable this we launched Kendra Principal Store. Starting today, AWS customers can easily store user and group mapping information in Kendra’s Principal Store, enabling customers to filter search results by only providing a User ID at the time of search.
For example, customers can use the Principal Store to store user and group information from their enterprise identity provider and/or content data sources in order to enable Kendra to automatically filter search results based on the combined user/group mappings.
The Amazon Kendra Principal Store is available in all AWS regions where Amazon Kendra is available. To learn more about the feature, visit the documentation page. To explore Amazon Kendra, visit the Amazon Kendra website.
