Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) Custom for Oracle, is a managed database service for legacy, custom, and packaged applications that require access to the underlying operating system and database environment. Starting today, you can deploy RDS Custom for Oracle using AWS CloudFormation templates. AWS CloudFormation simplifies provisioning and management of resources on AWS.
You can create templates for the RDS Custom for Oracle service as per your required architecture, and have AWS CloudFormation use those templates for quick and reliable provisioning of your database instances. CloudFormation templates can be leveraged to deploy RDS Custom for Oracle database instances in an infrastructure-as-code model that allows instance lifecycles to be managed repeatably, predictably, and safely, while allowing for automatic rollbacks, automated state management, and management of instances across accounts and regions.
