Starting today, AWS Application Migration Service (AWS MGN) supports additional application validation, configuration and modernization actions.
AWS MGN minimizes time-intensive, error-prone manual processes by automating the conversion of your source servers to run natively on AWS. It also helps you simplify modernization of your migrated applications by allowing you to select predefined and custom automation options during migration.
The new actions include:
- Autoscaling group configuration for web applications providing cloud resiliency and high availability.
- Tagging validation to ensure data integrity between source and server.
- Enabling AWS Migration Hub Refactor Spaces to accelerate application refactoring by automating the creation of refactor environments in AWS. Refactor environments include the AWS infrastructure needed for strangler-fig refactoring of applications to microservices.
The autoscaling group configuration and tagging validation features are available in all AWS Regions where AWS Application Migration Service is available. AWS Migration Hub Refactor Spaces integration is available in all AWS Regions where both AWS Application Migration Service and AWS Migration Hub are available. Access the AWS Regional Services List for the most up-to-date availability information.
