Amazon Interactive Video Service (Amazon IVS) now offers audio-only pricing for its Real-Time Streaming capability at 1/10th of the existing Real-Time Streaming rate.

In August 2023, Amazon IVS launched its Real-Time Streaming capability which delivers video streams from host to viewer with a latency that can be under 300 milliseconds and supports up to 10,000 viewers. Both video and audio-only usage were billed at the same hourly rate based on the duration that hosts or viewers are connected to the stage resource as participants.

Now with the launch of audio-only pricing for Real-Time Streaming, if a host is only sending and receiving audio content to or from a stage, or if a viewer is only receiving audio from a stage, you will be charged the audio-only participant hourly rate, which is 1/10th the standard rate. Visit the Amazon IVS Pricing Page for more information.

Amazon IVS is a managed live streaming solution that is designed to make low-latency or real-time video available to viewers around the world. Video ingest and delivery are available over a managed network of infrastructure optimized for live video. Visit the AWS region table for a full list of AWS Regions where the Amazon IVS console and APIs for control and creation of video streams are available.
