Amazon Kendra is an intelligent search service powered by machine learning, enabling organizations to provide relevant information to customers and employees, when they need it. Starting today, AWS customers can use Amazon Kendra to collapse (or group) and expand the query results based on specified document metadata fields.
When users search for accurate answers from Amazon Kendra they encounter situations where there are documents which are near duplicates, related to one another in various ways and need to be viewed together, or are closely linked to each other in the form of a parent child relationship. Users need to be able to view these documents together as a group for review and analysis, and next action identification. There is a need to group the documents together based on these criteria and visually provide a way to collapse the group under one representative document. When needed, users should be able to expand this group to view all the members of the group.
