Amazon AppStream 2.0 now offers new images powered by Microsoft Windows Server 2022. With these images, customers can launch Microsoft Windows Server 2022 streaming instances and take advantage of the latest Microsoft Windows Server operating systems features. It also enables customers to run applications that require recent Microsoft Windows operating system versions.
While Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 powered AppStream 2.0 images are still available, you can now choose to run streaming instances powered by Microsoft Windows Server 2022 and experience new features of Microsoft Windows Server 2022 such as Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM 2.0), Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Secure Boot, Secured-core server, Credential Guard and Hypervisor-protected Code Integrity (HVCI) and DNS-over-HTTPS. You can either use a public Microsoft Windows Server 2022 image or use image builder to create your own custom image tailored for your requirements.
