As Head of Transmission Strategy at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Sai Vijayaraman brings over a decade of expertise in power transmission and renewable energy systems. Her extensive background encompasses transmission and distribution planning, renewable energy interconnection, battery storage applications, and NERC compliance. She has demonstrated proficiency in production cost modeling, Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP), and curtailment analysis. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs), and power developers to address complex engineering challenges. In her current role, she leads AWS's transmission strategy and studies team, overseeing data center initiatives related to transmission planning, development, and alternative energy solutions. She holds a Master's in Power and Energy Systems Engineering from Arizona State University and bachelor’s in electrical engineering from India. She is a registered professional Engineer (PE) as well.
