New Introduction to Blockchain digital course for technical and non-technical learners
We are pleased to announce the availability of the first blockchain course from AWS Training and Certification. The course, Introduction to Blockchain, is a free, on-demand, 60-minute digital course for both technical and non-technical learners.
What is blockchain
Blockchain is a distributed database technology that enables peers to confidently store and share data with each other without using a central authority. By removing a central authority from the process, blockchain helps businesses reduce the cost and complexity of how they solve their problems. It can also help businesses address their use cases more efficiently or tackle otherwise impractical problems.
For example, supply chain management companies are using blockchain to allow suppliers and distributors to independently track goods as they move through the supply chain network. Additionally, banking and finance companies are prototyping financial systems where peers in the system can conduct, process, and verify transactions directly with each other. By doing so, it reduces the transaction processing time of the financial system from days, to hours, or even minutes. These are simply two of the many evolving use cases of blockchain. Going forward, blockchain will continue to challenge how businesses solve their problems and open doors to new, more efficient solutions.
