Customer data is processed by Anthropic outside the AWS boundary.

    Claude on Amazon Bedrock keeps your data within AWS infrastructure — AWS processes your data and does not share it with Anthropic or any third party. It provides access to Claude alongside 100+ other foundation models through a unified service, with AWS-managed features like Guardrails, Knowledge Bases, and regional data residency. 

    If you don't have strict regional data residency requirements and want access to Anthropic's native developer experience and beta features, Claude Platform on AWS is a good fit. You get access to Anthropic's Claude Platform, while keeping procurement simple with a single AWS bill, using your existing IAM credentials and access controls, and giving your security team full visibility through CloudTrail audit logs alongside the rest of your AWS activity.
