These events, held around the world, are designed to educate new customers about the AWS platform and offer existing customers deep technical content to be more successful with Amazon Web Services.

All AWS Summits feature a keynote address highlighting the latest announcements and customer testimonials, technical sessions led by AWS engineers, a business track about innovation and cloud economics, and hands-on technical training. You will learn best practices for deploying applications on AWS, optimizing performance, monitoring cloud resources, managing security, cutting costs, and more. You will also have opportunities to meet AWS staff and partners to get your technical questions answered.

Content is focused on providing an overview of AWS services and features as well as best practices, details of service features and demos for attendees that are new, introductory, and advanced knowledge of the topics.

Q: What languages are the sessions in?

A: All sessions will be in English since our audience is coming from various countries across the globe and we want to make sure everybody can follow.

Q: Do you accept submissions for speakers/session ideas?

A: At this time, we do still accept submissions for Summit customer speakers. Please contact your account manager if you are able to present. The session owner will decide if your talk is relevant for the audience.


Q: How do I register?

Q: Where is my confirmation email?

A: If you have registered, you should receive a confirmation email shortly after registering. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder. Once you have checked your spam folder, if you still haven't received your confirmation email, please contact us.

Q: What is included in the Summit registration?

A: Summit registration gives you access to the keynote, all breakout sessions and the Partner Solutions Expo. Meals offered include lunch and snacks.

Q: What is the price of registration?

A: Registration for the AWS Summit Amsterdam is free.

Q: How do I update my registration information?

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: You may cancel your Summit registration by contacting us. Note, we will go ahead and cancel your ticket, but we will not confirm your cancellation by email.

Q: Will I need to register myself for each breakout session?

A: Onsite at the AWS Summit, breakout sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-seated basis. As seats are not guaranteed, there is no need to pre-register. However, we recommend taking advantage of the scheduling tools on AWS Summit mobile app to help you organize your day. The mobile app will be available soon.

Attending the Event

Q: Other than registering, what else do I need to attend the event? 

A: AWS Summit attendees must show a valid ID to enter the event venue. Please ensure the name on your registration matches the name on your ID. Should you need to update the name on your registration, please contact us. Preferred forms of ID include driving licenses, national ID cards, and passports. If these cannot be provided, a valid credit card or business ID can be used.

Parking, Accessibility & Special Requirements

Q: What accessibility accommodations are available?

A: The AWS Summit Amsterdam venue, RAI Amsterdam, has been designed to make everyone’s visit as productive and comfortable as possible. RAI Amsterdam is near the RAI train station, metro station and has a large parking facility. Read more about the facility’s accessibility here.

Q: What special dietary requirements are accommodated?

A: Vegetarian, Halal and limited gluten free options are available and labelled at lunch.

Q: What happens when my badge is scanned?

A: If you offer to have your badge scanned by a sponsor or at a sponsor-branded session, you are requesting AWS share your name, email address, country, title, and company with that sponsor so it may contact you by email for marketing purposes. This is optional - you may choose not to offer your badge. For questions, please refer to the AWS Privacy Notice. You may unsubscribe from the sponsor’s marketing communications at any time by contacting the sponsor. Providing the sponsor with your information may involve transferring it to another country. Health & Safety

The wellbeing of all attendees at the AWS Summit is of utmost importance to us. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and follow national and international guidance to implement necessary precautionary measures before and during the event. During the event, we will have enhanced housekeeping and refuse management protocols to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Medics will also be on standby to attend to those who are feeling unwell. For the wellbeing of all attendees, we request that all registrants who feel unwell refrain from attending the AWS Summit and seek medical attention promptly. We are ready and prepared to implement enhanced measures as required by the authorities, and will provide relevant information leading up to the AWS Summit.
