Kevin Miller is the global Vice President & General Manager for the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), an object storage service that offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance. Prior to this role, Kevin has had multiple leadership roles within AWS, including as the General Manager for Amazon S3 Glacier, Technical Advisor to the Senior Vice President for AWS Utility Computing, Director of Engineering for AWS Virtual Private Cloud, and engineering leader for AWS Virtual Private Network and AWS Direct Connect. Kevin is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Yvonne Bettkober is an international executive with extensive of experience in the conception and operationalization of technology-driven transformation processes. She has led teams and businesses across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She started her professional career in Germany at Siemens and then worked for various software vendors (TelesensKSCL and Tibco software amongst others). For more than 15 years, Yvonne Bettkober has been working with new technologies and their innovation and transformation potential for companies of all sizes. She spent over a decade at Microsoft in various roles and regions leading teams in more than 20 countries. She led the Incubation Sales teams in Germany, Central-Eastern Europe and Middle East and Africa, then served on the Board of Directors for Microsoft South Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean. In 2015, she joined the Swiss Executive Board of Microsoft where she initially took over the SME, corporate and partner business; leading the reorganization of that segment to a cloud-based model. She was subsequently appointed Director for new business development and Enterprise Solutions (Microsoft's technical sales unit). 

Yvonne Bettkober, who grew up in Cameroon and France, moved to Germany in 1992 to study at the Technical University of Berlin. She holds a master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering and an MBA from Warwick Business School. She has been living in Switzerland with her husband and three sons since 2006.

Klaus Bürg has significant and proven expertise in managing international Enterprise type companies, developing go-to-market strategies and also has a strong affinity to cutting edge technologies. Klaus worked in mature markets as well as in emerging markets and has deep expertise in industries like Financial Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare & Pharma and also in Professional Services environments.

Klaus has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, including more than 15 years in Selling and Implementing Business Applications. Before joining AWS, Klaus was working 2 years at audius AG as Executive Vice President where he was responsible for the Business Applications. Before that he worked 11 years at Microsoft in various management functions – i.e. leading the CRM Business for EMEA, COO for the Western Europe Enterprise Services Business (12 countries) and lastly being the COO at Microsoft Central Eastern Europe Headquarters (33 Countries), running the Enterprise Business across all products.

Klaus graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Esslingen (near Stuttgart, Germany). He also holds a master of science in computer science from the same University.

As an AWS Enterprise Strategist, Gregor helps IT and business leaders rethink their IT strategy to maximize the benefit they gain from their cloud journey. Drawing on two decades’ experience ranging from Silicon Valley tech to enterprise IT, Gregor connects the dots between enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and cloud computing. 

Mr. Hohpe has served as Smart Nation Fellow to the Singapore government, as technical director at Google Cloud, and as Chief Architect at Allianz SE. His books on IT architecture and cloud strategy have become an indispensable resource for developers, architects, and IT leaders around the globe.

Who should attend

If you are already using AWS services and want to deepen your AWS technology know-how or gain knowledge in new services, this is the day for you. This content ranges from Intermediate (Level 200) to Advanced (Level 300).

What to expect

We will dive deeper into AWS services: with breakout sessions that include hands-on demos in a wide range of topics such as machine learning, data and analytics, serverless, security, and many more. We also offer workshops whith deep dives into selected AWS services.

Health Measures

The health and safety of our customers, partners and employees remains our top priority. All attendees must be either fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present a record of vaccination, or negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result, or an official COVID-19 recovery certificate (issued by the health department minimum 28 days ago but no longer than 90 ago) at onsite check-in to receive their AWS Summit Berlin badges. Masks are not required, but recommended.
