Amazon Lex is a service for building conversational interfaces into any application. Today, Amazon Lex launches an enhanced, V2 management console and APIs that make it easier to build, deploy and manage bots. With the Lex V2 console and revised APIs, you can expedite your process in building virtual agents, conversational IVR system, self-service chatbots, or informational bots.
Lex V2 console and API enhancements provide three main benefits. First, you can add multiple languages to a single bot and manage them as single resource through the life cycle of building, testing, and deployment. Second, V2 APIs simplify versioning. The V2 Lex console and APIs provide a simplified information architecture that lets you efficiently manage your bot versions. Third, you can use new productivity features that give you more flexibility and control of your bot design process. This includes the saving of partially completed bots, bulk upload of sample utterances, and navigating via a dynamic ‘Conversation flow’.
You can start using Lex V2 to build bots from the AWS Management Console, AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), or via a set of APIs. Lex V2 console and APIs are available in all AWS regions where Amazon Lex operates. To get started, see the following list of resources:
