Amazon Inspector is an on-demand security assessment service that helps AWS customers validate the security configurations of the applications and operating systems deployed in their Amazon EC2 environments. Inspector security assessments can also help customers check for unintended network accessibility of EC2 instances. Inspector gives customers the flexibility to check EC2 instances for vulnerabilities and evaluate their instance configurations against security benchmarks any time they need. Inspector offers rules packages that allow customers to choose the type of security assessment they wish to run and provides a detailed evaluation of the findings along with recommendations to improve the security of their instances.
