Today, AWS Systems Manager updated the layout for the documents selection screen. Now, documents published by AWS are organized by use case so you can easily navigate and discover them. This update also includes the ability to view custom documents owned by you or shared with you, allowing you to quickly find your custom documents.
Document categories can be found on the document selection page, after selecting Execute Automation. For example, you can find security-related documents, such as documents to encrypt S3 buckets, in the Security category. Similarly, remediation documents to rescue Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances can be found in the Remediation category. Other categories include documents for AMI management, data backup, and instance-based documents. Go to the Systems Manager console to see all available categories.
This update is live in all AWS Regions where Systems Manager is available. To learn more about AWS Systems Manager Automation, visit our product page.
