Nomura Group Uses Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Strengthen Its Compliance, Accelerate the Ad Reviews, and Optimize the Global Operations
Since its establishment in 1925, the Nomura Group has led the development of financial markets as a global financial services provider with operations in over 30 countries around the world. In order to respond to the growing business needs and maintain regulatory compliance, the Nomura Group introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology as part of its digital transformation strategy. The company redefined operational efficiency by focusing on the three pillars of “providing innovative digital services,” “expanding the digital asset business,” and “creating next generation opportunities.”
Nomura Group has built "Core AI," a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform in collaboration with the Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Center of Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this collaboration, next generation advanced tools such as Amazon Bedrock and Anthropic Claude has been integrated into the infrastructure. Over 12 months, Nomura used AWS Managed Services, which included multi-LLM orchestration and AI-based compliance checks, to resolve bottlenecks associated with high-volume ad reviews requiring expertise.
By automating compliance checks and streamlining operations with Core AI, the Nomura Group has improved its accuracy, shortened processing times, and realized seamless global operations. These achievements demonstrate the Nomura Group's commitment to innovation and efficiency in the financial services sector.
