Epic Games Enables Creators to Build Over 2 Million Digital Humans and Launches RealityScan App on AWS

Epic Games vice president of Unreal Engine Nathan Thomas shares how Epic is pushing technology to change how all industries engage with both physical and digital worlds using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Thomas showcases how, by building on AWS, its suite of 3D creation tools including Metahuman Creator and the RealityScan app, enable all developers to build simulations of large photorealistic worlds and experiences, without sacrificing performance or precision. Epic uses AWS to provide the scale and high-performance power needed to build high-fidelity experiences that blend imagination and real life. Epic is using GPU-based computedata, and content delivery solutions on AWS to cost efficiently scale to millions of users and process petabytes of data in near real time to enable rapid development of digital humans, 3D models of real-world objects, and simulations of immersive worlds and empower the next generation of creators.
