You can now provision AWS Batch resources using AWS CloudFormation, a service that gives you an easy way to deploy and update resources in an orderly and predictable fashion. AWS CloudFormation streamlines the process of creating and managing AWS Batch deployments across multiple AWS accounts and regions.

Typical examples of AWS Batch resources include job queues, compute environments, and job definitions. As a developer or system administrator, you may want to create and manage collections of these resources and use them for repetitive deployments within your organization.

For more information about AWS CloudFormation support, visit the AWS Batch documentation.

There is no additional charge for AWS Batch. You only pay for the AWS resources (e.g. EC2 instances) you create to store and run your batch jobs.

AWS Batch is currently available in the following regions:

  • US East (N. Virginia) us-east-1
  • US West (Oregon) us-west-2
  • US East (Ohio) us-east-2
  • EU West (Ireland) eu-west-1
  • EU (London) eu-west-2
