Amazon Connect now enables you to define a custom terminating keypress when capturing DTMF (dual-tone multi frequency) inputs to provide greater flexibility when accepting multiple inputs during a call. Instead of the default “#” to signal the end of DTMF collection, you can now specify a different digit such as “*” or a series of digits such as “##” or “0000”. For example, this can be used to let your callers enter multiple inputs such as account number, amount, and stock name in a single stream of digits, rather than enter each input one at a time.
To learn more, see custom terminating keypress in the Amazon Connect Admin Guide. This capability is available in all regions where Amazon Connect is offered. There is no additional charge, beyond standard pricing for Amazon Connect service usage and associated telephony rates. To learn more about Amazon Connect, please visit the Amazon Connect website.
