We are excited to announce the integration of Amazon OpenSearch Serverless with AWS User Notifications. OpenSearch Serverless is the serverless option for Amazon OpenSearch Service that makes it simple for you to run search and analytics workloads without having to think about infrastructure management.
Serverless compute capacity is measured in OpenSearch Compute Units (OCUs). You can configure the maximum OCUs per account to set budgets and monitor your costs. With this release, you can configure the system to send notifications when OCU utilization is approaching or has reached maximum configured limits for search or ingestion. The user Notification feature reduces the need to constantly monitor the resources usage.
The AWS User Notification support for OpenSearch Serverless is now available in 8 regions globally: US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Europe (Frankfurt), and Europe (Ireland). Please refer to the AWS Regional Services List for more information about Amazon OpenSearch Service availability.
AWS User Notifications lets you centrally setup and view notifications from AWS services, such as Amazon OpenSearch Service, AWS Health events, Amazon CloudWatch alarms, or EC2 Instance state changes, in a consistent, human-friendly format. To learn more about AWS User Notification, see the documentation.
