FHNW Creates Generative AI–Inspired Art Exhibit for Museum Visitors Using AWS

Overview

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern (FHNW) is one of Switzerland’s largest universities. In collaboration with interactive museum for analog and digital technology Enter Technikwelt Solothurn, FHNW embarked on a generative artificial intelligence (AI) project using Amazon Web Services (AWS). With managed service Amazon SageMaker, says research associate Claudio Paonessa, FHNW and Enter Technikwelt designed an image-generator exhibit that’s used by hundreds of visitors a day.

Without the already established platform of Amazon SageMaker, we wouldn’t be able to build this relatively complex art exhibit for the museum in this short period of time.
