What’s New with AWS Lambda? Introducing Amazon Step Functions, Lambda@Edge, and Lambda on Snowball
In this session, you'll learn what’s new and hot with AWS Lambda. AWS Step Functions is a new, fully-managed service that makes it easy to coordinate the components of distributed applications and microservices using visual workflows. Step Functions is a reliable way to connect and step through a series of AWS Lambda functions so that you can build and run multi-step applications in a matter of minutes. You can now execute Lambda’s almost anywhere: originating in the cloud, at the edge of the cloud with Lambda@Edge and on connected devices such as AWS Snowball Edge.
Being Well Architected on the Cloud
The AWS Well-Architected Framework enables customers to understand best practices around security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization when building systems on AWS. This approach helps customers make informed decisions and weigh the pros and cons of application design patterns for the cloud. In this session, you'll learn how to follow AWS guidelines and best practices. By developing a strategy based on Amazon Web Services's Well-Architected Framework, you will be able to significantly increase the frequency of code deployments and reduce deployment times. As a result, you will be able to deliver more scalable, dynamic and resilient applications.
