AWS Week in Review – April 23, 2012

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, April 23	We announced that AWS Elastic Beanstalk is now available in our Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Region.
Tuesday, April 24	We announced that Amazon DynamoDB is now available in three additional regions, bringing the total to six. We opened up registration for the AWS Summits in Melbourne and Sydney.
Wednesday, April 25	The Amazon Simple Email Service gained expanded header and attachment support. We announced that AWS CloudFormation can now create Virtual Private Clouds.
Thursday, April 26	Episode #2 of The AWS Report – Saad Ladki of the Elastic Beanstalk Team was posted. You can now launch Cluster Compute Instances inside of a Virtual Private Cloud. We posted 25 presentations from the New York 2012 AWS Summit.
Friday, April 27	We posted a number of videos including: NASDAQ on AWS – Testimonial. S & P Capital IQ on AWS – Testimonial. Werner Vogels NYC Summit – Featuring Cycle Computing, Pinterest, The Washington Post, and PBS.
