AWS Week in Review – August 12, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, August 12	We announced that Amazon CloudFormation now performs Parallel Stack Processing and handles Nested Stack Updates. The AWS Mobile Development Blog publshed Part 3 of a series on the use of Amazon DynamoDB from Mobile Devices to show you how to Write Data.
Tuesday, August 13	We announced that you can now Push Notifications to Mobile Devices Using Amazon SNS. As part of this release we announced and launched new versions of the AWS SDK for .NET, the AWS Mobile SDKs, the AWS SDK for Ruby, and the AWS SDK for PHP. We released a new white paper that details Amazon Elastic MapReduce Best Practices.
Wednesday, August 14	We announced Health Check Graphs and Zone File Imports for Amazon Route 53.
Thursday, August 15	We added ten new customer video testimonials from Coursera, Medidata Solutions, Ooyala, Shutl, SimpleReach, Sumo Logic, Thismoment, Viddy, Viocorp, and ZipList. The AWS Mobile Development Blog published an article to show you how to Manage Clock Skew on Mobile Devices.
Friday, August 16	This week AWS Marketplace added new products including CloudFlare, SafeNet, OpenGeo, WikiGenerator and OpenVPN. The AWS .NET Development Blog published a post to show you how to Script Your EC2 Windows Fleet Using Windows PowerShell and Windows Remote Desktop Management.
