AWS Week in Review – May 6, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, May 6	We announced that the AWS SDK for Node.js is now generally available. The AWS Security Blog discussed Writing IAM Policies to Grant Access to S3 Buckets.
Tuesday, May 7	We announced that you can now Provision up to 4,000 PIOPs per EBS Volume, and also added AWS Marketplace Support for Provisioned IOPS. We posted the presentations from the AWS Summit in Sydney, Australia. The AWS Java Blog published part 2 of the series on Eclipse Deployment to Elastic Beanstalk.
Wednesday, May 8	We launched the AWS Management Pack for Microsoft System Center. We announced that you can now use AWS Direct Connect in Seattle, and to connect to AWS GovCloud (US). An article on the Amazon SES blog talks about the Amazon SES Suppression List.
Thursday, May 9	The AWS Mobile Blog discussed Making Asynchronous Calls with Handler.
Friday, May 10	AWS Marketplace announced support for Provisions IOPS volumes which increases performance for databases, distributed files systems and applications that require high I/O.
