Upcoming AWS Events – Fall 2010

Voiced by Polly

Now that summer is officially history, we’re going to swing in to high gear once again. We’ve got product launches, blog posts, and events of all sorts in the works. Here’s what we have planned for September:

Launch Your Game on the Cloud in Less Than An Hour! (September 15, 11:00 AM PT)

Attend this webinar to learn how to shorten your time to market and launch your game on AWS using RightScale’s cloud management platform. Learn how several major gaming publishers, such as Playfish and Zynga, have used RightScale and AWS to power their highly-elastic social game applications. We will provide insight into launching your first game, avoiding common scaling problems, and automating your sys admin tasks.

AWS Cloud for the Federal Government (September 23, 1:00 PM ET, Crystal City, Virginia)

Learn how Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers the Federal Government a scalable, cost-effective, flexible, and secure cloud computing platform. This half-day live event features a keynote presentation from Amazon.com CTO, Dr. Werner Vogels, in which he will detail how the AWS on-demand resources, combined with Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, empower you to use your choice of operating system and programming tools to move  government applications into the cloud.

Amazon Technology Open House (September 28, Seattle Washington)

Amazon welcomes the local technology community to the first Amazon Technology Open House. Come hear from Amazon CTO Werner Vogels, grab a beverage and network with fellow technology leaders. The event will be hosted in the historic Van Vorst building on Amazons new campus in Seattles South Lake Union neighborhood. Register early as space is very limited.

I’ll be updating this post as I become aware of other upcoming events.
