Introducing Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment and Buy with Prime Accelerators for SAP S/4HANA
Today, we’re excited to announce the availability of Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) and Buy with Prime Accelerators for SAP S/4HANA. This powerful integration enables SAP customers to leverage Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime using their existing SAP S/4HANA implementation — enabling them to tap into the full potential of Amazon’s fulfillment infrastructure to grow their business and improve customer experience.
This announcement sits at the center of several initiatives that serve our mission to be earth’s most customer-centric company.
· Online shopping: We’re best known for offering convenience, selection, and low prices to millions of customers through Amazon.com. This has led to us creating the world’s largest fulfillment network, so we can offer millions of items, many with free 2-day shipping or even same day shipping for Prime members.
· Merchant enablement: We also work hard to create programs that help merchants build and scale their business on Amazon.com, their own websites, other online retailers, and social media channels.
· Running mission-critical applications in the cloud: Similarly, AWS was born out of this customer-obsessed commitment— helping democratize IT and enabling businesses to focus on their core business instead of data center management. Customers use AWS for virtually every application and use case, including the thousands of customers who run their mission-critical SAP systems on AWS.
Increasingly, AWS customers have asked how they can partner with Amazon to benefit from our global scale, supply chain, and operational best practices to transform their fulfillment and ecommerce operations. With solutions like Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime we’re extending our world-class logistics network beyond our store to help brands do just that.
Why Merchants love Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime
· Amazon Multi Channel Fulfilment (MCF) is a third-party logistics (3PL) solution that enables merchants to leverage Amazon’s fulfillment network to pick, pack, ship, and deliver orders across all sales channels. With Amazon MCF, merchants can leverage a single pool of inventory within Amazon’s fulfillment network to help cut out-of-stock rates, improve inventory turnover, and drive operational efficiency. Merchants reported a nearly 19% increase in sales or revenue, on average, since adding MCF to their off Amazon retail channels.
· Buy with Prime helps brands grow their business by offering Prime shopping benefits, including fast, free delivery, easy returns, 24/7 shopper support, and Reviews from Amazon, directly on their own website. Amazon helps merchants attract new shoppers and retain existing customers, by helping brands offer a shopping experience that customers know, love, and trust. In fact, 95% of shoppers who used Buy with Prime indicated they are very likely to use it again* and merchants experienced a 16% increase in revenue per shopper**, on average, when offering Buy with Prime.
The Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime Accelerators for SAP S/4HANA leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) with SAP Integration Suite and pre-built APIs from Amazon to reduce the integration work required by up to 75%, allowing many customers to go live in under 6 weeks.

How it works
The integration is designed with simplicity in mind, leveraging SAP BTP to connect your existing systems. The Multi-Channel Fulfilment API and Buy with Prime APIs provide a programmatic way for organizations’ existing order management and e-commerce systems to interact with the Amazon systems that support ecommerce and fulfillment. Merchants using the API can add Buy with Prime and/or MCF to their existing website experience, including search, product pages, cart, and checkout, as well as integrate day-to-day order data into their back-end applications.
Traditionally, SAP customers wanting to leverage MCF and Buy with Prime have made several backend changes to ensure their SAP S/4HANA system could perform functions like accepting Amazon orders data, splitting fulfillment requests so that Prime items are fulfilled by Amazon, or receiving post-order updates. Increasingly, our SAP customers have asked how we can simplify the initial implementation, making it easier to integrate their SAP S/4HANA system with Amazon’s Buy with Prime APIs.
Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime Accelerators for SAP S/4HANA dramatically simplify this process. They provide common interactions out-of-the-box, supporting a wide variety of e-commerce fulfillment use-cases that work seamlessly with your existing SAP workflows and configurations. The Accelerators require SAP Integration Suite. Customers can either leverage their existing SAP Integration Suite investment or subscribe to SAP Integration Suite from AWS Marketplace.
Simply connect your SAP S/4HANA system to Amazon’s MCF and Buy with Prime APIs and start leveraging the power of Amazon’s fulfillment network. With this integration, you can fetch, create, and update records in SAP S/4HANA.

Prerequisites
Before you install the Accelerator, ensure you have met the following pre-requisite requirements.
1. When an order is placed on your eCommerce site, SAP S/4HANA must be set up to capture the order details generated by your eCommerce site.
2. You must modify your eCommerce site so that the order details generated have the items tagged that they are purchased with Prime shipping through Buy with Prime.
3. Subscribe to SAP Integration Suite.
4. Optionally, you may also tag any items offered through Buy with Prime if you want to fulfill such items only with Amazon.

** This data point is based on A/B testing results collected between July 2023 and June 2024 from 167 merchants, and measures the average increase in revenue generated when Buy with Prime was a purchase option versus when it was not, during the same time period.
