Homin Kim is a retail/CPG business development lead at AWS Korea. He is a retail expert with over 20 years of diversified experience in online, off-line, and omnichannel retail industry. He started his career as a management consultant, later joining Samsung Tesco as chief of staff. He had various roles at Tesco: ecommerce team leader, business innovation team leader, and store manager in the Seoul metropolitan area. Homin also founded a retail company that operated a multichannel O2O platform (one off-line and two online stores) that provided a liquidation channel for retailers and manufacturers to trade and sell off their old stocks and salvages. Prior to joining AWS, he worked as a retail director at the Business Strategy and Insight Center of Lotte Group (the #1 retailer in Korea). His main responsibilities were to support top management decision-making and provide strategy consulting services to the group’s retail subsidiaries.
