The London Loft Returns

For those unfamiliar: the AWS Pop-up Loft is a space where startups are invited to stop by, hang out, and receive free, in-person AWS technical guidance from our expert AWS Solution Architects, Engineers, Product Managers, Support, and thought leaders. You can make an appointment and reserve a spot at any of our activities or sessions, or drop in knowing availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. And we’ll have snacks and drinks for you to enjoy.

Location

The AWS Pop-up Loft is located at The Brew Eagle House, a co-working facility located near Old Street Roundabout and based in the heart of Tech City London.

What You Can Do at the London Pop-up Loft

Here’s a preview of the exciting happenings at the London Pop-up Loft.

26th April, 9am — 5pm: AWS & Intel IoT Hack Day, 27th April
This 8-hour Hack Day teach you how to connect the latest IoT devices from leading hardware vendors to the AWS Cloud. We will supply all the kits with sensors and displays and our experts will teach you how to build an AWS-powered cloud-connected device, the Connected Cube. This event is co-presented with Intel, a friend of of the AWS Pop-up Loft.

19th April, 6:30pm — 8:30pm: Finding the signal in the noise: effective SecOps with Splunk Cloud
Security and visibility are critical considerations in any AWS deployment, Splunk software is the easy, fast and secure way to search, analyse and visualise the massive streams of machine data generated by your IT systems and technology infrastructure — physical, virtual and in the cloud. Join this AWS Loft session and hear from Ross McKerchar, Global IT Security Manager at Sophos, to discover how Sophos runs its Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the cloud to analyse operational data across the network, benchmark normal and identify potential threats in real time.

25th April, 1pm — 5pm: Lambda Signal Corps vs Zombies
The London Loft will also feature a dedicated training area, where you can gain in person advice and guidance on all things AWS training & certification related.

QA and Global Knowledge, AWS Training Partners, will be at the Loft to provide you with support and advice on developing your technical skills and on how to gain AWS Certifications.

You can meet with QA from 18th — 22nd April and Global Knowledge from 25th — 28th April. We’d like to thank our APN Training Partners QA and Global Knowledge, for their ongoing support of the Loft.
