Certification

Registration now open for standard exam version of AI Developer certification

Registration is now open for the standard exam version of the AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional certification. This certification validates expertise in foundation models, RAG architectures, and responsible AI deployment—skills that are driving innovation today. To align with the rapid pace of AI innovation, the standard version of the exam has been refreshed to reflect changes in AWS services, including the addition of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. AWS Skill Builder can help you prepare for this with a 4-step plan that includes training and exam prep. The last day to take the beta version of the exam is March 31, 2026.

Exam prep

Prepare for AWS Certification exams with confidence, following 4-step plans on AWS Skill Builder. Each plan includes free content such as practice question sets and Domain Review courses, plus enhanced subscription content like official practice exams, Domain Practice courses, and AWS SimuLearn.

This month, we launched the following AWS Certification exam prep materials:

Microcredentials

Building on the momentum from our November 2025 launch of AWS Microcredentials, AWS Training & Certification (T&C) is excited to announce the addition of two new microcredentials topics this month:

  • AWS Application Networking Demonstrated – Validates a professional’s ability to execute core tasks related to application delivery, performance optimization, and modern application architecture implementation.
  • AWS Incident Response Demonstrated – Validates a professional’s ability to identify, contain, and remediate common AWS security incidents.

These join our inaugural offerings — AWS Serverless Demonstrated and AWS Agentic AI Demonstrated — further expanding the microcredentials portfolio and giving professionals more ways to prove their practical, real-world AWS skills. To learn more visit AWS Skill Builder.
