Creating a more inclusive workforce for women at AWS Skills Center

Learn how AWS Skills Center, Absa, and Women in Tech recently collaborated to create an impactful new cloud training program in South Africa to narrow the skills gap and open new career opportunities for women job-seekers. New courses and and certification offerings from AWS Training and Certification in February 2024

In February, we launched 22 new digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including new AWS Digital Classroom courses for annual subscribers, five new solution assignments to build generative AI skills via AWS Cloud Quest, and new prep courses for the AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate exam.

AWS Certification retirements and launches

We are retiring three specialty AWS Certifications in April 2024: AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Database – Specialty, and AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty. Additionally, we are launching the AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate certification, available to take March 12, 2024.

New AWS Digital Classroom courses help you build in-depth skills in flexible, self-paced format

We’ve launched AWS Digital Classroom courses to help you build the same knowledge and skills that you would with instructor-led classroom offerings, but in a self-paced digital format. AWS Digital Classroom courses give you flexibility so you can learn where and when you want, at your own pace, and still benefit from an expert AWS instructor.

In January, we launched 24 new digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including three new learning plans for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), and a Solutions Architect-focused version of AWS Card Clash. On Coursera, we launched courses 5-9 to round out the AWS Cloud Technology Consultant Professional Certificate. Available now on Coursera, the AWS Cloud Consultant Professional Certificate is a holistic, nine-course program that will take an aspiring professional with little or no technical knowledge and provide them with the skills, knowledge, and context to understand the what, why, and how to become a successful AWS Cloud Consultant. New courses and certification offerings from AWS Training and Certification in December 2023

Dive into our 21 new digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including seven new game-based and interactive trainings and certification preparation courses to help you build AWS Cloud expertise, from AWS Industry Quest: Manufacturing and Automotive, AWS Card Clash, to the new AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam prep resource, AWS Escape Room. You can also recertify for your AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner by playing the beta AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner Recertify – no need to take an exam. We also have four new learning plans with digital badges to guide your knowledge-building, and for executives, we’ve added cloud education for Chief Human Resource Officers and for executives wanting to build their security know-how.
