To meet the generative AI training needs, AWS Training and Certification has launched courses focused on the decision maker, data scientist, and the developer personas.

From Japan to Indonesia, and further south to New Zealand, organizations and individuals from diverse communities are actively embracing and integrating the latest and most advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to improve their lives and work. AWS Training and Certification is helping them build the skills they need to innovate today and tomorrow.

Compass UOL, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner specializing in digital transformation services, has hired 14 graduates of the Brazil AWS re/Start program into the Compass Academy program. Compass Academy provides internships with on-the-job technical training, in areas such as cloud development, data engineering, machine learning, cyber security and DevSecOps, among others, with mentoring from Compass UOL professionals. In partnership with AWS, the company plans to add 50 new positions exclusively to AWS re/Start graduates in 2024.

This year at AWS re:Invent 2023, we are launching the AWS Observability Hub, which will display LIVE Amazon CloudWatch dashboards showing some of the Observability we care about from the AWS Builder Labs experience, from a business, developer, and support perspective. In November, we launched 16 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including 9 new AWS Builder Labs and self-serve AWS Jam events in AWS Skill Builder subscription. For executives, we’ve added more digital training to help you build your knowledge of cloud – this time for small business owners and risk and compliance officers. Using a combination of live study sessions, which are also recorded and available on demand, online resources, optional AWS Builder Labs, and AWS Certification Official Practice Exams, it is specifically tailored to people who are looking to gain knowledge as quickly as possible and put it into action.

Learn how we helped VMware build a culture of sustainable software development practices, in particular working jointly to help the VMware Tanzu CloudHealth research and development team. Through training initiatives, foundational cultural adaptations, and AWS Well-Architected Framework guidance on their sustainable development and production workloads, we’ve helped Tanzu CloudHealth incorporate sustainable practices in their software development lifecycle. Their journey presents an example of how AWS, with partners like VMware, can help customers incorporate a culture of sustainability into engineering practices and product development.

Registration is now open for the AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate beta exam. This exam is available to take between November 27, 2023 and January 12, 2024, at the discounted price of USD 75. Registration for the standard version of this exam opens March 2024, and the standard version will be available to take starting April 2024. Along with the launch of this new Associate-level certification, we will be retiring AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty on April 9, 2024.

In October, we launched 13 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a new learning plan and digital badge for Migration, a new AWS Jam Journey for Game Serverless and Analytics, a free digital course to build generative AI skills with Amazon Bedrock, and a new 12-month, prescriptive virtual training program to build job-ready cloud developer skills called AWS Cloud Institute. And, AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner is now available in Japanese.
