AWS Academy provides higher education institutions with a free, ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum that prepares students to pursue industry-recognized certifications and in-demand cloud jobs. The program recently celebrated reaching one million students worldwide. This month we launched 16 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including six AWS Builder Labs—two of which focus on skills development for generative AI—and two new AWS Jam Journeys focused on security challenges from AWS re:Inforce 2023. The AWS Guild Tournament is a 12-week learning program delivered by AWS Training and Certification. Village Roadshow embarked on this gamified training experience with the aim of enabling their people to quickly build cloud knowledge through targeted foundational training courses, empowering teams to build resilient, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

We’re back with the August course launches and certification updates from AWS Training and Certification – to equip you and your teams with the skills to work with AWS services and solutions. For learners in Cape Town, South Africa, we opened our first international AWS Skills Center. And AWS Partners in sales roles can learn how to sell to public sector customers.

Today, we cut the ribbon on our first international AWS Skills Center in Cape Town, South Africa, furthering our mission to remove the barriers of access to cloud skills training. The center is designed to deliver free training that helps nontechnical learners build new cloud skills and unlock career options for in-demand tech jobs.

Introducing Femme Forward, an EU initiative that aims to ignite a new wave of female tech professionals and entrepreneurs. With mentoring opportunities available in seven European languages, this program strives to make tech accessible, to positively impact over 500 women, and ultimately reshape the gender balance in tech.

Introducing a new cloud skills training offering specifically for the healthcare industry, AWS Industry Quest: Healthcare. AWS Industry Quest: Healthcare is designed specifically for healthcare professionals and provides an interactive, engaging learning experience covering a comprehensive set of 25 solutions to build real-world AWS Cloud skills for the healthcare industry.

In July, we released 52 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including AWS Industry Quest: Healthcare, AWS Cloud Quest: Networking, 19 AWS Builder Labs, and new exam prep for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional. For c-suite executives, explore courses to help you build knowledge of the capabilities of cloud. We also have two new trainings exclusive to AWS Partners in sales roles.

We’ve released 19 new AWS Builder Labs this month, specifically geared to help individuals in developer, cloud architect, cloud engineer, and cloud administrator roles reinforce their learning across various topics including Containers, Developing, Serverless, Networking, Security and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
