You can then follow the check recommendations to help you optimize your services and resources.

Trusted Advisor can help you save cost, for example, by helping you identify unused or idle resources or reserved capacity.

Trusted Advisor can help you improve the performance of your services, for example, by helping you to take advantage of provisioned throughput and monitoring for overutilized Amazon EC2 instances.

Trusted Advisor can help you improve the security of your application, for example, by making recommendations about your use of AWS security features or permissions.

Fault tolerance

Trusted Advisor can help you increase the availability of your AWS application, for example, by recommending that you take advantage of auto scaling, health checks, multi-AZ Regions, and backup capabilities.

Service quotas

Service quotas, also referred to as Service limits, are the maximum number of service resources or operations that apply to an account or a Region. Trusted Advisor can notify you if you use more than an identified percentage of a service quota, helping you manage your service quotas.
