As vice chair of education, holding the Patricia Borns Endowed Chair at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Janet oversees all education initiatives and operations in the Department of Radiology. In addition, Janet is a professor of clinical radiology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She uses machine learning to enhance radiologist performance and lifelong learning by incorporating intelligent tutors using recommender algorithms for knowledge delivery.

Prior to her current role, Janet served as the section head of pediatric radiology at the Cleveland Clinic overseeing all pediatric imaging at three children’s hospitals throughout the Cleveland Clinic Health System. Janet was also a pediatric radiologist at the University of Alberta.

Janet earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from McGill University, a Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University, and a Master of Education in Medical Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Janet lives in center city, Philadelphia, PA, with her husband and two dogs and enjoys cooking, cycling, and urban gardening.
