5PM-5:45PM Introduction to Amazon Web Services.  If you’re new to AWS you’ll want to join this session where we discuss the advantages of cloud computing and provide an overview of AWS products, services, and common solutions.  We’ll also outline the hands-on labs, trainings, and other resources available to help you get started with AWS. Speaker: Tara Walker, AWS Evangelist.
5:45PM-6:45PM Amazon Web Services Hands-on Workshop. This hands-on workshop will dive deeper into the AWS platform and help you get started with some of the core AWS cloud services in minutes.  The workshop will include AWS technical resources to help guide you step-by-step through each lab, helping you take the next step and gain a deeper understanding of how programmers can use AWS. Speaker: Tara Walker, AWS Evangelist.
6:45PM-8:30PM Networking & Happy Hour. Enjoy food & drinks while making new friends and discussing opportunities & challenges which exist for tech professionals of diverse backgrounds. You can share your stories and get mentorship from minority tech industry leaders.
