Rachel Botsman is a trust expert, author, and lecturer at Oxford University. She is passionate about teaching people how to think differently and challenge ideas around trust, humility, and integrity. She created Oxford University’s first course on trust in the digital world at the Saïd Business School. Rachel has been recognised as one of the world’s 30 most influential management thinkers by Thinkers50, one of the Top 10 most influential voices in the UK on LinkedIn and honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. She is the author of critically acclaimed books that have been translated into fourteen languages. What’s Mine is Yours, predicted the rise of the ‘sharing economy’ and was hailed by TIME magazine as one of the “10 Ideas that Will Change the World.”

Sqn Ldr J Palfrey

Sqn Ldr James Palfrey, RAF Digital / Appivate

Squadron Leader Palfrey started his military career in 2006 as an RAF Regiment Gunner. He served in prestigious squadrons, excelling as a Mortar Fire Controller on Op HERRICK and later specializing as a CBRN Operator under NATO's command. In 2021, Palfrey spearheaded the creation of Appivate at RAF Marham, transforming a startup into a robust Military Software Factory with over 100 personnel. As Officer Commanding and Head of Software Engineering, the factory has launched over ten digital capabilities, enhancing HR processes and operational efficiencies. Palfrey has also collaborated with international software factories for wider defense benefit. In 2024, he embarked on a Ph.D. at the University of York, focusing on the transformative impact of GenAI on military decision-making processes related to lethality, alongside his ongoing commitment to advancing military software capabilities.

Shirley Dallamore

Warrant Officer Shirley Dallamore, RAF

Warrant Officer Shirley Dallamore’s career began at RAF Cottesmore, where she worked within Personnel Services Flight. She then gained extensive HR experience through assignments at RAF Brize Norton, RAF Akrotiri, RAF Halton, and RAF High Wycombe. She completed a tour as Deputy Trade Sponsor for TG17, working across strategic, tactical, and operational levels. In this role, she was instrumental in reviewing regular and reserve TG17 roles and responsibilities to align with future requirements. Dallamore was later selected as WO HR Capability Officer, leading Air HR Modernisation and serving as HR Hub Product Owner. She successfully delivered the digitalisation and optimisation of 21 core HR processes on the Defence Gateway application. With qualifications in SCRUM, CIPD, and Change Management, Dallamore remains committed to driving transformation within Defence HR and exploring future modernisation opportunities.

Angela Morrisson

Angela Morrison, Chief Operating Officer, Cancer Research UK

Angela joined Cancer Research UK as Chief Operating Officer in April 2021, leading finance, people, and technology teams to ensure strong governance and an effective operating model. She has extensive experience as a commercial executive, previously leading retail, supply chain, and technology teams at Debenhams, Direct Line Group, Sainsbury’s, and Asda/Walmart. Angela has driven major business and cultural transformations and was an executive sponsor for Corporate Social Responsibility at Debenhams and Direct Line. She also served on the Advisory Board for The Tech Partnership, working to enhance IT skills in education and the workplace. Angela is a Non-Executive Board Member at HM Land Registry, supporting operations, transformation, and technology. She holds a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol.
