Witness the annual live coding competition as teams sprint to finish their final builds. Watch jaw-dropping live presentations to celebrity judges and be in the crowd when the winning team slams the Big Red Button. This is a "you had to be there" moment.

Expo Welcome reception
The Expo opens its doors Monday evening for the Welcome Reception: No agenda — just drinks, early access to the Expo floor, and your first conversations of the week.
Tuesday: Magic: The Gathering Night
Whether you're a seasoned spellcaster or just curious about the game, don’t miss this exclusive, three-hour event in collaboration with Wizards of the Coast. The event will host an experienced tournament for veteran players alongside a dedicated "Learn to Play" session—complete with decks and guided instruction.
Tuesday: Game Night
Three hours of board and card games — from quick party games to deep strategy. Grab one, find a table, and start playing. No tournament structure, no registration. Just show up.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Network with peers and AWS Partners
Networking cocktail hours sponsored by AWS Partners, hosted at three iconic Las Vegas hotels Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Low-key, no program — just practitioners and partners in the same room with a drink and snack in hand
Wednesday: Expo Happy Hour
By Wednesday afternoon, you've been building, testing, and talking for three days straight. The Expo Happy Hour is where you slow down and swap stories with peers and AWS experts over complimentary drinks and snacks.
Thursday: Unwind at re:Play, the official re:Invent party
You've been going since Monday. Tonight, you party. Live performances, a menu designed by people who love good food, games, themed lounges, and a few surprises we're keeping to ourselves. Complimentary shuttles from re:Invent hotels.
