New research reveals misalignment in IT and LOB ROI perceptions
In the last 12-24 months, the average organization has made sizable investments in more than 10 different solution areas. New research from ESG reveals that IT and business leaders are not aligned on which of these tech investments delivered the greatest return on investment.
To spend or not to spend?
Organizations often struggle to strike the right balance between IT investment and financial prudence. On the one hand, failing to invest in the right technologies can put you at a disadvantage to competitors. On the other hand, economic challenges like high interest rates, inflation, and geopolitical instability encourage cautious spending.
To help leaders navigate this tension between financial conservatism and the need for innovation, AWS embarked on a research project with TechTarget’s Enterprise Strategy Group. ESG surveyed 1,000 senior IT and line-of-business (LOB) managers involved in the tech purchase process at their organizations who are knowledgeable about the assessed ROI that tech projects and initiatives have delivered.
