The scheduled scaling feature of
Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling allows you to set a schedule for your Auto Scaling group to scale in and scale out your EC2 capacity. Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling now allows you to set a local time zone for scheduled scaling actions via the
AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) and
AWS SDKs, with support in the
AWS Management Console and
AWS CloudFormation coming soon. Selecting a time zone makes schedules easier to review and also removes the need to adjust schedules for Daylight Saving Time (DST).
This feature is available in all public AWS Regions and in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. For information on this feature, visit AWS documentation.
