ADP
ADP’s Next Gen Human Capital Management (HCM) platform embraces how work really gets done—in dynamic teams that do not reflect traditional organizational hierarchies. Running over 200 microservices on Amazon EKS, the platform leverages Amazon Neptune to model and query its dynamic team structures.
"We like app-level encryption in addition to database-level encryption. When we use Amazon Neptune, the data is already encrypted before it gets to the database, and then it’s encrypted again at rest."
Zaid Masud, Chief Architect - ADP

ALTR
ALTR’s serverless infrastructure is powered by AWS services such as Amazon API Gateway, a fully managed service to create, maintain, and secure APIs at virtually any scale, and AWS Lambda, a serverless, event-driven compute service. It uses Amazon Neptune to quickly access metadata and make governance decisions.
“Using serverless technologies, and AWS as a whole, we have built a service that is exceptionally scalable without having to scale costs. Our business has doubled over the past year, and our AWS production expenses only increased by 2.4 percent.”
Chris Struttmann, Cofounder and Chief Technology Officer - ALTR

Audible for Business
"A graph database gives us more flexibility than the relational systems. We might need to do a lot of joins on our tables [in a relational model], and that would have caused high latency of a lot of our business logic. A graph database is optimized for our use case. Amazon Neptune solved what we were trying to solve."
Mayank Gupta, Software Engineer - Audible for Business

BMW
“At BMW, we are constantly innovating to deliver superior efficiency and accuracy in data-driven decision-making. We have over 10 PB of data to support analyses across 1,000 use cases in our Cloud Data Hub. Ensuring that the insights are based on reasoning across datasets is a challenge given the diversity of use cases and queries from our 9,000 users. We recently worked with AWS on a prototype where we created a knowledge graph to represent relationships between the data. The accuracy of this solution has transformed how we think about leveraging our unique data in generative AI applications. We are thrilled about the fully managed GraphRAG capability of Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases, with its automated graph modeling in Amazon Neptune. This will allow us to serve more relevant and comprehensive insights to teams across all of BMW, so we can continue creating premium experiences for millions of drivers.”
Ruben Simon, Head of Product - Cloud Data Hub at BMW Group

Careem
Careem powers rides, deliveries, and payments across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. Their massive platform serves 50 million users in 100 cities using a robust, cloud-centered infrastructure built entirely on AWS.
"Amazon Neptune is fully managed, which is a big advantage to us in terms of how many people we’d have to have working on this project, and the potential cost of infrastructure and maintenance.”
Kevin O’Brien, Senior data scientist - Careem

Cox Automotive
Cox Automotive makes buying, selling, owning, and using vehicles easier for everyone, including millions of car shoppers and 40,000 auto dealer clients across five continents. The company has 34,000 team members and a family of brands, including Autotrader, Dealer.com, and Kelley Blue Book.
Cox Automotive combined data from millions of car shoppers to create an identity graph for marketing personalization without using third-party cookies. It built its identity graph using Amazon Neptune. The company uses this identity graph for marketing solutions such as advertising, website personalization, vehicle recommendations, email marketing, lead enrichment, and customer relationship management.
“We want to have a connected consumer journey. We’re using data about the consumer from all of the sources we might get it from—including Cox Automotive businesses and external providers—and using machine learning to create reliable, predictive insights.”
Carlos Rendon, Principal Technical Architect - Cox Automotive

Dream11
"At Dream11, technology is at the core of everything we do. With over 220 million users, we rely on scalable, innovative systems to deliver seamless and engaging experiences. AWS supports our ability to rapidly prototype and scale new features, helping us stay ahead in a fast-paced market and achieve our vision of making sports better for fans everywhere.”
Abhishek Ravi, Chief Information Officer - Dream Sports

Huuuge Games
Huuuge Games analyzes gamers’ journeys to understand how to make its games even better. To overcome potential issues around scaling and administrating the infrastructure to do this, the company uses Amazon Neptune.
“The software is out there to help you improve the gaming experience, but the management time for all the infrastructure isn’t—that’s why AWS is a key service provider for us,”
Rafal Grembowski, Software Architect - Huuuge Games

Merck
Merck & Co., Inc. (Merck) is a global pharmaceutical company with an over 130-year history. Merck used AWS to build its Change Assessment Knowledge Engine (CAKE).
“CAKE helps chemistry, manufacturing, and control scientists make change assessments more quickly, effectively, and consistently. CAKE is powered by an Amazon Neptune graph database containing information about Merck’s supply chain and regulatory operating environment."
John Baker, Executive Director of Machine Learning and Analytics - Merck

Siemens
Located in more than 90 countries, Siemens Energy operates across the whole energy landscape. Its mission is to support companies and countries with what they need to reduce carbon emissions and make energy reliable, affordable, and sustainable.
“Already first experiments with the RDF graph data model and graph databases were very successful and we could really see this working not only for this use case, but for many others in the future.”
Lutz Lukas, IT Solution Architect - Siemens Energy

Smartsheet
Smartsheet Inc. is a cloud-based, intelligent work management platform that empowers companies to scale and accelerate innovation.

Wiz
Wiz’s cloud-native application protection platform secures everything you build and run in the cloud by driving visibility, actionable context, risk prioritization, and business agility.
“The Wiz Security Graph visualizes your cloud stack to identify the risks in each layer and deliver actionable insights. It makes the complex simple by surfacing the relationships between cloud components as first-class citizens. To power the Wiz Security Graph, we needed a graph database that was globally available and could scale to 100s of billions of nodes and relationships to identify security risks in real-time. By updating to Graviton3-based r8g instances, we've reduced our graph database costs by 20%. The Amazon Neptune's combination of high-throughput graph processing, open-source graph models like Apache TinkerPop, and the cost-efficiency of the latest r8g instances allows us to scale the Wiz Security Graph at cloud speed.”
Roy Reznik, Co-Founder & VP R&D - Wiz
