Budderfly is disrupting the energy industry by leading energy consumption conservation through its unique Energy Efficiency as a Service model. An Amazon Web Services (AWS) customer, Budderfly creates networks of patented Internet of Things (IoT) devices to monitor and optimize energy consumption. In order to onboard new customers, Budderfly needed to efficiently deploy its IoT sensors to physical locations, which was a manual, labor intensive, and time-consuming process, so it turned to AWS Professional Services for a solution.

“We were able to build an automated, scalable, and secure device onboarding and management platform to enable collection and processing of energy information using the AWS platform and the Connected Devices Framework (CDF) delivered by AWS Professional Services. This helped us reduce our customer onboarding time from over an hour per device to less than 10 minutes, with a single technician now able to onboard multiple devices in parallel. Budderfly can now summarize, present, and alert on one billion daily sensor-based data points in near-real time, enhancing reporting and analytics while reducing customer loss resulting from offline equipment. The capabilities of the AWS platform as well as the CDF, in the hands of knowledgeable AWS Professional Services experts, enabled us to quickly deliver value for our customers.”
