Zocalo Update – MFA, Sharable Links, Web Move, Decline Feedback

I have become a frequent and devoted user of Amazon Zocalo! I draft my blog posts, share them with the Product Manager and other interested parties via Zocalo, and wait for the comments, suggestions, and other feedback to arrive. Given that I generally have between 8 and 10 blog post drafts underway, I have grown to appreciate the easy yet fully controlled sharing and reviewing model that Zocalo provides.

Today I am happy to announce some helpful new features.

MFA / RADIUS Support
Zocalo now supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using a RADIUS server. This provides an additional layer of security during the authentication process. Users will need to enter their user name, password, and a OTP (One-Time Password) supplied by a hardware or software token.

The Zocalo administrator can enable, configure, and manage the MFA and the connection to the RADIUS server from the Console. Select Manage MFA from the Actions menu to start:

Sharable Links
You can now create link to your Zocalo documents and share them with contributors. The contributors must already be members of the site.

Declining Feedback
If you are invited to leave feedback on a Zocalo document and are too busy or have nothing to say, you can now decline a feedback request from the action bar:

Web Move
Zocalo’s web user interface now allows you to move documents and folders from folder to folder. The action bar is displayed when an item is selected; it contains a new Move… option:
