Amazon SageMaker Now Supports Apache MXNet 1.2

Posted on: Aug 6, 2018

Amazon SageMaker now provides the latest version 1.2 of Apache MXNet. The built-in MXNet container within Amazon SageMaker makes it easy to run your deep learning scripts by taking advantage of the capabilities of SageMaker including distributed & managed training and real-time deployment of machine learning models.

Apache MXNet 1.2 accelerates neural network operators and comes with a new Open Neural Network Exchange (ONNX) module for easily importing ONNX models into the MXNet symbolic interface. With ONNX, interoperability between deep learning frameworks, including MXNet, PyTorch, Caffe2, Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit, and Chainer becomes easy.

The Apache MXNet 1.2 container within Amazon SageMaker is now available in the US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Europe (Ireland), Europe (Frankfurt), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), and Asia Pacific (Sydney) AWS regions.
