AWS Elemental MediaLive now supports additional
automatic input failover conditions including black frame and audio loss detection. You can use automatic input failover to build highly resilient and redundant live streaming workflows on AWS.
Previously, you could configure AWS Elemental MediaLive to automatically failover to the standby input if the primary input was unhealthy for 3 seconds. Now you can also configure an input to automatically failover if the video is black or audio is silent for a specified duration of time. This enables an additional level of resiliency if you have a healthy video signal but the audio is absent or the video has cut to black.
AWS Elemental MediaLive is a broadcast-grade live video processing service. It lets you create high-quality live video streams for delivery to broadcast televisions and internet-connected multiscreen devices, like connected TVs, tablets, smartphones, and set-top boxes.
The service functions independently or as part of
AWS Elemental Media Services, a family of services that form the foundation of cloud-based workflows and offer you the capabilities you need to transport, create, package, monetize, and deliver video.
