Zoox is reinventing personal transportation to build a safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable future on the road. At the core of its vision is a purpose-built robotaxi that offers the world a better way to ride. The Zoox robotaxi has no steering wheel, no pedals, and no front or back. One that can move in either direction, sense its environment in 360 degrees, and deliver riders to their destinations safely, comfortably, and efficiently.

Zoox uses AWS to build a scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure that accelerates its autonomous software development, providing the necessary compute power and data storage required to run large-scale machine learning, simulation, and model validation workloads. These workloads are powered by tens of thousands of GPUs running on AWS. That scale enables them to build such rich, realistic simulations and continuously retrain and validate their AI models. Zoox uses Amazon SageMaker HyperPod to train some of its large-scale Foundation models, and Amazon S3 to efficiently manage petabytes of data from its vehicle sensors.
