    • QTAC Case Study

      Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) operates a centralized application service for Queensland, Australia. QTAC sees around 100,000 students on its platform and offers 75,000 of those a place at an institution. Using the AWS Cloud, they are able to offer more reliable services and experience nearly 100% uptime, even with traffic spiking to 80,000 hits per minute. QTAC looks forward to a future with expanding opportunities for applicants by utilising new technologies and services like Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, and Amazon ECS. With an organisation of 60 to 70 people, using the cloud allows them to do a lot with a small IT team and not worry about operating data centres.

Using the cloud, udrew is able to scale and deliver services in real-time to serve all parties.

    • NTUC Link Case Study

      NTUC Link is part of the NTUC (National Trades Union Congress) social enterprise and primarily focuses on the loyalty business in Singapore, with close to 2 million members. Its programs include LinkPoints and Plus!, which enables members to use points for shopping and purchasing goods. Using AWS services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 to support its data and analytics pipeline, it has been able to provide insights to merchants and customers much quicker than before, which helps its merchants deliver better personalized services to their customers.       Situated at the northern tip of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Noosa Shire covers an area of 871km2 and is home to more than 54,000 people. Using AWS and Technology One, Noosa Shire moved to a cloud-based solution, estimating that they would save 3-4 million dollars. Those savings have been realized and ongoing. The council experiences efficiencies, economies of scale, and scalability. No longer do they need to worry about whether there's enough storage space. They’ve been able to transform the business. Instead of focusing on “where’s that information stored?,” they are able to focus on “what outcomes do we want to achieve for our customers?”
