In 2019, Orange Bank migrated its complex infrastructure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) with support from Ippon Technologies, an AWS Partner. By using managed services, Orange Bank can focus on what it does best: meeting its customers’ needs. Orange Bank employees are free to innovate rather than spending time developing technical expertise or managing operational tasks. “Using managed services meant that we didn’t have to recruit database administrators to manage our databases. We could really concentrate on the software part and delegate the hardware part,” says Alexandre Fedi, lead FinOps and project management officer at Orange Bank.

Using AWS services, Orange Bank’s operations are more reliable. The company cut recovery time objectives by up to 50 percent in some cases, which helps Orange Bank get back to business faster in the event of a downtime. With point-in-time recovery and automatic backups from AWS, Orange Bank can minimize data loss if there is a downtime without increasing operational costs across the board. These benefits translate to a more seamless experience for customers, giving them access to mobile payments and other banking workflows around the clock with minimal interruptions.

Orange Bank can also scale to optimize its workload usage using AWS and connect to third parties with less complexity using AWS Marketplace. From AWS Marketplace, Orange Bank can quickly find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on AWS.
