PayU Works with AWS Enterprise Support to Secure Online Payment Transactions

PayU is one of India's leading digital financial services providers and offers advanced solutions to meet the digital payment requirements of the Indian market. PayU India aims to create a full-stack digital financial services platform to serve all financial needs of customers (e-commerce brands, banks, and consumers) through technology solutions. The organization’s main challenge is to manage operations in a cost-effective, secure, and efficient manner that can scale quickly. AWS Enterprise Support played a crucial role in achieving these objectives by providing a range of proactive services. The technical account manager (TAM) and the wider AWS Account Team guided PayU through complex technical challenges and ensured improvement of security posture, resiliency, and optimization of operating costs.

AWS Enterprise Support’s Security Improvement Program helped plug security gaps and led to the adoption of AWS WAF, AWS Shield Advance, and AWS GuardDuty. PayU faced no major security incidents because potential threats and DDoS attacks were mitigated. PayU also improved its resilience by migrating its disaster recovery site to AWS, achieving an RPO of near zero and RTO of about 30 mins. Additionally, the TAM-led cost optimization workshops helped PayU save approximately $100K monthly.
