Meet the 80 startups selected from around the world for the 2024 AWS Generative AI Accelerator

Meet the next generation of startups from around the world reimagining what’s possible with the power of generative AI and AWS.

AWS is proud to announce the 80 startups participating in the 2024 global AWS Generative AI Accelerator cohort. This initiative is part of our $230 million commitment to accelerate the creation of generative AI applications by startups around the world, helping them turn groundbreaking ideas into impactful solutions that shape the future of technology.

The 10-week program kicks off September 30 at our Amazon HQ in Seattle with an exciting week of learning, mentorship, and leadership, and concludes with a showcase at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, NV in December.

“This new generation of startups is at the forefront of a transformative new wave, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with artificial intelligence while bringing exciting new solutions to market,” said Jon Jones, Vice President of Go-to-Market at AWS and executive sponsor of the program. “Expanding the cohort for our Generative AI Accelerator is a testament to the potential we see for startups to usher in new innovations for customers in an increasingly AI-driven world. 80 world-changing startups were selected from a field more than 4,700 applications from 129 countries. With an acceptance rate of less than 2%, the startups were chosen by a diverse committee of AWS startup experts and program partners, for the strength of their idea, technical readiness, and interview performance.

Fostering the next generation of AI pioneers

In recognition of the explosive growth in generative AI companies in the last year alone, AWS quadrupled the cohort size from 20 to 80 and enlarged the geographic reach to cover every corner of the globe — 20 of the top AI companies from each region will participate. Startups participating in the program each receive up to $1 million in AWS credits to fuel their development and scaling needs, as well as go-to-market support, and business and technical mentorship.

Founders will also have access to a specialist network, including domain experts from AWS, as well as our program partners NVIDIA, Meta, Mistral AI, and venture capital firms who are investing in generative AI companies.
